according to Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), Picture, approx. 27 x 35 cm, 10 colours, 9 stitches/1 cm, petit point
Auguste Rodin, a French sculptor who lived from 1840 to 1917, received his first training in the workshop of A. L. Barye in Paris. However, the strongest influences on his artistic development were the works of Michelangelo. His style is to work figures only partially out of the block, i.e. to present his works in a fragmentary and sought-after perfect manner. The marble figure "The Kiss" created in 1886 is the model for our embroidery.
