Leonardo da Vinci can be considered the greatest painter of the Renaissance, perhaps even the most important artist of all. He worked in painting as surely as in engraving, sculpture and architecture. He also devoted himself to physics, geometry and anatomy. He worked in these fields as successfully as in painting and is therefore considered a universal genius. His probably most important works were "The Last Supper" and the "Mona Lisa".
